Nov 03, 12 NYCFTA Update: JetBlue Brings More Food Trucks to Disaster Areas.

Although electricity has been restored to parts of lower Manhattan, areas in the outer boroughs remain powerless, leaving thousands still left stranded without food and clean water.  The New York City Food Truck Association has been working hard with city officials to coordinate relief to the areas hardest hit like the Rockaways and Staten Island, and also to neighborhoods out of New York like Hoboken.  NYCFTA announced that JetBlue is continuing efforts to help provide relief by handing out 10,000 free meals on Saturday, November 3rd to the disaster areas listed below.

Rockaways (Beach 50th & Beach Channel Drive; 12-4pm)

Eddies Pizza
Cupcake Crew
Phil’s Steaks
Milk Truck

Staten Island (Midland Ave. & Olympic Blvd.; 12-4pm)

Valducci’s Pizza
Gorilla Cheese

Hoboken (12-4pm)

Big D’s Grub: 13th & Willow (near Rite Aid)
Sweetery: 5th & Madison
Nuchas: 5th & Madison

In addition to the Jetblue partnership, the following trucks will be out in the Rockaways today giving out hot meals on their own:

Rocco Dispirito’s Now Eat This Truck
Juice Pirate
Wafels & Dinges
Frites ‘n Meats
Rickshaw Dumpling Truck
