Harlem, NY — I covered the grand opening of John Starks and Anthony Mason’s new Custom Fuel Pizza in Harlem and it was an exciting and truly unique concept.  The culinary talent that makes up Frederick Douglas Blvd is indeed thriving and (evolving), and a rally of food trucks has decided to join the party on Saturday, March 29th, 2014.

Presented by Harlem Eats (a weekend food fest from May – October), the inaugural rally will anchor between 117th and 118th streets and feature nine tantalizing trucks: Toum, Wafels & Dinges, Gorilla Cheese, Diso’s, Hibachi Heaven, Nuchas, Palenque, Luke’s Lobster, and Shorty’s.  For more information, check out

Steve is a local New York blogger currently exploring the food truck scene.  He stars in his own web-series titled “Sidewalk Eats“, and is also featured on the Cooking Channel providing guest commentary to the show Eat St.
